Everything Points Towards Steve Clarke Being Scotland Manager by Monday

Everything is pointing towards Steve Clarke being the Scotland manager by Monday.

The Kilmarnock boss is heading into his final game of the season on Sunday when his side face Rangers at Rugby Park.

Clarke and Killie know that a win and no real significant change in the goal difference between them and Aberdeen will definitely secure third spot in the Premiership (although they could do it by either matching or bettering the Dons’ result against Hibs).

And then it’s believed he’ll make a big decision on his future as reports link him with a number of other jobs.

One of those jobs has been the Scotland manager’s role, with Clarke being linked ever since Alex McLeish was sacked in April.

The Killie boss previously played down the possibility of taking over the Tartan Army.

But now it seems he’ll be their boss on Monday, with a report this morning saying he’s the SFA’s man.

That follows Clarke dropping to as low as 1/10 favourite with the bookies over the last 24 hours.

So everything points towards Clarke being named by the SFA as the new Scotland boss by Monday.

And we can’t lie – we’re very happy about that!
