Glasgow City Council Brand Rumours of London Road Closure on Monday as ‘Fake’

Glasgow City Council have branded online rumours that London Road and the area surrounding Celtic Park are to be closed on Monday as ‘fake’.

As we told you earlier today, images had started circulating online suggesting the streets and rounds around the Hoops’ Parkhead stadium were to be shut-off on Monday – hinting at a glitzy managerial unveiling in the style of Brendan Rodgers.

However, the media team at the council have put paid to those suggestions, by tweeting that London Road will be open to the public as usual this Monday:

This could mean that rumours David Moyes is close to being announced as Celtic boss are wide of the mark, or that he just doesn’t need the sort of glamorous unveiling with thousands of fans that was required for Brendan Rodgers.

But what do you think of the situation? And would Moyes be a good Celtic boss?
