Neil Lennon has given Celtic fans what they want to hear on Karamoko Dembele.
The Hoops caretaker manager faced the media this morning ahead of his side’s Scottish Premiership clash with Hearts at Celtic Park on Sunday.
It will be trophy day for the champions, but many of their star players will likely sit in the stands or on the bench for what will be a dress rehearsal for the Scottish Cup Final a week later.
As Lennon has already said, some of his players are tired while some others battle injury going into the last two games of the campaign.
So it’s likely there will be big changes to the team at the weekend – and many fans hope that means a debut for 16-year-old star Dembele.
While Lennon hasn’t 100% confirmed that, his comments today suggest the England youth international has a very good chance of being involved:
That’s exactly what Celtic fans want to read.
Dembele has been impressive for the club’s academy and reserve teams this season and has trained with the first team already before.
But he’s yet to make his long-awaited first team debut so Sunday would make a lot of sense.
