Neil Lennon has given three significant squad updates in Celtic’s press conference this morning.
The Hoops manager faced the media earlier ahead of his side’s Scottish Premiership clash with Aberdeen on Saturday.
It’s a big game for Celtic as they can wrap up the title with either a draw or win against the Dons.
Lennon’s side haven’t been beaten in 2019, but haven’t hit full flight consistently in games either – and managed just a solitary Jozo Simunovic goal to beat Kilmarnock last weekend to put them on the verge of the title.
Fans will want improvements in the remaining games going into the Scottish Cup Final – and they’ll be confident of getting those with Lennon sharing some big squad news.
He confirmed that Celtic have trigged a one-year contract extension in Scott Sinclair’s contract while also confirming Kieran Tierney and Leigh Griffiths are close to returns:
Lennon did also reveal that Tierney will undergo an operation to fix a hernia this summer:
So could Tierney and Griffiths be in line for inclusion in the Cup Final? If so, that’s a big boost to the club’s treble hopes.
