According to the BBC, assistant manager Brian Kerr sent the squad a Whatsapp message on Monday asking each player to pick the team they’d choose if they were manager.
Each player’s suggestion will be placed in an envelope, with manager Gary Caldwell then selecting one at random.
Thistle have endured a pretty torrid season in Scotland’s second-tier after last season’s traumatic relegation from the Premiership, and could still be dragged into the relegation play-offs if they lose Saturday’s match and other results elsewhere go against them.
However, a draw will be enough to secure Thistle’s Championship status for next season, and Caldwell has been quoted as saying: “It’s given us a little insight into what the players are thinking”.
What do you think of the idea? Is this a brilliant piece of man-management or a slice of absolute lunacy?
