The Hibees manager was unable to close out the campaign with a victory as the Dons visited Edinburgh earlier.

Marc McNulty opened the scoring for the home side in the first half, however Aberdeen roared back into the game through goals from Sam Cosgrove and James Wilson.
And that was enough to get Derek McInnes’ men the win – one that would have secured third in the league for them had Kilmarnock not beat Rangers today.
Aberdeen had to settle for fourth, 13 points ahead of Hibs in fifth.
But Heckingbottom believes his side have nothing to fear moving forward and actually said Aberdeen are no better than Hibs.
Per eveningexpress.co.uk, Heckingbottom said: “Can we compete with these boys at the top? Yeah, but we haven’t beaten one of them.
“We want to beat these guys because you’re not telling me they’re a better team than us.
“They deserve to be where they are because they were clinical, strong, dogged and that’s why they were pushing for European places. That’s where we want to be.
“We’ve got nothing to fear, nothing at all. But we got punished for two errors so let’s not make any. We have to be clinical at the other end.”
Strong stuff from Heckingbottom.
He’s been in charge of Hibs since replacing Neil Lennon in February and has helped consolidate them as a top-six side and a competitive opponent for the best teams in the country.
