Predicting the Celtic XI to Start Against Rangers on Sunday

Celtic play Rangers on Sunday hoping to make up for their last visit to Ibrox.

Under Brendan Rodgers in December, the Hoops went down 1-0 to Steven Gerrard’s men.

Ryan Jack got the winning goal that day – deserved for a Rangers team who got the better of their opponents for the majority of the game.

Now Celtic fans will be expecting their players to put in a much better performance at Ibrox.

And here’s who we predict will start for Neil Lennon’s team:

Why Tierney?

Tierney didn’t look fully fit against Aberdeen last weekend, but it was fitter than many expected considering Lennon confirmed he’ll have a double hernia operation this summer. Tierney spoke post-match about just powering on for the cause – so expect him to line up again on Sunday.

Why Hayes?

Lennon started Hayes against Rangers at Celtic Park last month and we fancy him to do that again on Sunday. Tavernier’s attacking threat from right back should worry Celtic more at Ibrox and Hayes may be the best option to combat that. Besides, nobody else is in great form at the position.

Celtic fans – what would your team be?
