Celtic will have a lot of turnover in their squad this summer – regardless of who ends up being permanent manager of the club.
Whether it’s Neil Lennon or not, the Hoops manager will want reinforcements to help with their push for 10 in a row and another successful season.
And a lot of that will be necessary regardless of manager as many come to the end of their time in Glasgow.
There are several out of contract with no resolution on their future yet.
While some others will end their loan spells this summer, most notably Timothy Weah, Jeremy Toljan and Oliver Burke.
But could any, or all, of that trio remain beyond the summer? Here we predict what their future will be:

Weah has had to endure a very frustrating time at Celtic since arriving from Paris Saint-Germain in January. He’s started just three games and has had to settle for 13 more off the bench, scoring four and assisting one. For a young player determined to show he can rival Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani at PSG, that’s not what he needed from a loan away from the French capital. Brendan Rodgers didn’t appear convinced on him and Lennon hasn’t given him many more opportunities either. But in the little glimpses Celtic fans have got of Weah, he’s looked like a very good player. It just makes his lack of regular game time more bizarre – and that’s without mentioning that Jonny Hayes has played ahead of him a lot recently. Weah’s time at Celtic has been odd and we’d be surprised if he was to remain beyond the summer – either on loan or permanently.
Prediction – Back to PSG, Loan elswhere

Just what has happened with Toljan? The Borussia Dortmund right-back’s arrival in January was a big hit with Celtic fans who were excited by his reputation. But he’s shown very little to suggest he’s the long term option in that position. He’s played just 12 times, with nine of those being starts – and his last game from the beginning came back in the middle of March. Toljan would be expensive to buy if Celtic wanted to take him permanently from Dortmund so we’ll assume they won’t pursue that this summer.
Prediction – Back to Dortmund

Burke has made the biggest of any loan signing in January, starting 12 times and appearing in four more games as a substitute. He’s scored four and assisted four in that time too, showing up well in some of the big games he’s appeared in. Undoubtedly, Burke has to make some improvements on his overall game – and that may explain why Lennon has rarely used him since taking over. But he’s only 22 and has plenty of time to develop into a top player if he can build on the potential he’s shown. What may be the biggest issue is the expensive fee Celtic would have to pay to get Burke permanently and that may depend on whether or not parent club West Brom are a Premier League team next season. But he’s got the best chance of any of continuing his Celtic career beyond the summer.
Prediction – Permanent Move to Celtic
Celtic fans – would you want to keep any of the trio?
