Rangers Fans Question Why James Tavernier is Excluded from PFA Nominations

Scotland’s PFA have announced the nominations for this season’s Premiership Player of the Year, and Rangers fans are questioning why James Tavernier has been omitted from the list.

Gers duo Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos have been included in the four-man shortlist, and are joined by Celtic pair James Forrest and Callum McGregor – leaving no room for Tavernier, despite his 16 goals from right-back this season.

Most of Tavernier’s strikes have been from the penalty-spot, granted, but there’s plenty of Rangers fans who reckon leaving him out of this year’s nominations is a big mistake:

The 27-year-old skipper of the Ibrox side has enjoyed a pretty impressive first campaign under Steven Gerrard this season, and has a whopping 20 assists to add to his goals.

So, do you think Tavernier should’ve made the four-man shortlist? And if so, which one of the final nominees should’ve been left out in his place?
