There’s Plenty of Celtic Fans Who Want Chris Hughton as The Club’s New Manager

There’s plenty of Celtic fans who’d quite happily take Chris Hughton as the club’s new manager, following his surprise sacking by Brighton earlier today.

The ex-Republic of Ireland manager was shown the door at the Amex Arena first things this morning despite leading the Seagulls to promotion from the Championship, as well as keeping them in the Premier League for the two consecutive seasons – as well as reaching the FA Cup semi-final.

With interim boss Neil Lennon’s chances of landing the Celtic job on a permanent basis undoubtedly hurt by the meekness of yesterday’s 2-0 defeat to arch rivals Rangers at Ibrox, it seems Hughton’s timely availability has piqued the interest of quite a few fans online:

On top of doing well with Brighton, Hughton also previously managed in England’s top-flight with Newcastle United and Norwich City – so could he be a genuine contender to takeover at Parkhead?
