Callum McGregor spoke about the guard of honour, the Ibrox atmosphere and much more ahead of Celtic‘s trip to Rangers this weekend.
The Hoops midfielder sat down with the media this afternoon to preview the big game at Ibrox on Sunday.
There’s nothing at stake in the league for Celtic, with the team clinching the Scottish Premiership title after beating Aberdeen at Pittodrie last weekend.
But there’s obviously a lot of pride at stake in this game – Rangers looking to get revenge for their defeat at Celtic Park last time out while the Hoops look to avenge the 1-0 defeat at Ibrox in December.
McGregor commented on that game last time at Ibrox while also speaking about the debate about Rangers giving Celtic a guard of honour at the weekend and loads more:
McGregor is likely to start the game at the weekend and is no doubt set to line up in midfield for Neil Lennon’s side.
If Celtic do win, they can move 12 points clear of Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership going into the final game against Hearts.
Then it’s all about the Scottish Cup Final against the Jambos at Hampden, with Celtic looking to clinch a treble treble with a win.
