On May 26th 1999, Sir Alex Ferguson’s United overturned a 1-0 deficit late on to beat Bayern Munich 2-1 and win the Champions League.

That victory contributed to a historic treble comprising of the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.

So you can understand United remembering that famous day in Barcelona.

The club’s media team sat down with Mata and Grant recently to get their memories of watching United win that game:

There will no doubt be even more treble tales between now and Sunday’s anniversary.
