Video: Jurgen Klopp Declares This Best Season He’s Ever Experienced in Management

Jurgen Klopp has described this season as the best he’s experienced in his managerial career despite his Liverpool side narrowly missing out on the Premier League title this afternoon.

The Reds boss managed to guide his team to a whopping 97 points, suffering just the one solitary defeat along the road, but they were pipped on the final day by Manchester City, who saw off Brighton 4-1 to reach 98 points and retain their crown.

Liverpool were also victorious on the final day, beating Wolves 2-0 at Anfield, but it wasn’t enough to halt the City juggernaut, and an obviously downbeat Klopp was gracious in defeat after the final whistle:

Whilst Liverpool won’t be ending their long wait for a top-flight English title this year, they will be competing in the Champions League Final against Spurs on June 1, so he can’t be too down, right?

Having won the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund twice, saying this is the best-ever campaign he’s been in charge of is pretty high praise, eh?

What do you think of Liverpool’s season?
