Video: Man City Fans Throw Beers and Abuse Gary Neville After Title Win

Gary Neville was pelted by beers and abused by Man City supporters during yesterday’s Premier League title win at Brighton.

The Sky Blues sealed their second successive English crown by beating the Seagulls 4-1 on Sunday, denying Liverpool on the final day of the season.

Former Manchester United captain Neville was working on City’s triumph as a co-commentator for Sky Sports and as he left the Amex Arena, he was given a pretty hostile goodbye from some City fans, some of whom threw their beer at him:

Of course, the irony here is that Neville was probably reasonably content to see City win the league, given United’s bitter rivalry with Liverpool.

We understand that United and City enjoy a pretty heated competitive relationship too, but surely this is just a bit too far and doesn’t show City as a club in the best light, eh?
