Video: Neil Lennon Pays Tribute to Brendan Rodgers After Celtic Clinch Title

Neil Lennon has paid tribute to Brendan Rodgers for Celtic clinching their eighth title in a row.

The Hoops manager led his side to a 3-0 victory over Aberdeen at Pittodrie thanks to goals from Mikael Lustig, Jozo Simunovic and Odsonne Edouard.

It put Celtic 12 points clear of Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with three games remaining and puts them on the verge of a treble treble, with Hearts in the Scottish Cup Final standing between them and that piece of history.

Lennon was understandably delighted post-match, but couldn’t accept congratulations without paying tribute to Rodgers and what he contributed to the achievement.

Speaking to Sky Sports:

Rodgers was manager of Celtic up until February before leaving controversially for Leicester City.

Many Hoops supporters were angry that he walked out on them during the season with the opportunity of winning a historic treble treble.

But Lennon obviously doesn’t hold any animosity and believes Rodgers deserves credit for what Celtic have done.

Celtic fans – do you give Rodgers any credit?
