Video: What Was Mikael Lustig’s Celebration After Goal v Aberdeen All About?

Was there a significant meaning behind Mikael Lustig’s celebration after scoring against Aberdeen?

The Swedish full-back got Celtic on the scoresheet in their 3-0 win at Pittodrie earlier, stooping low in the first half to make it 1-0.

The Hoops knew that even a point would clinch the Scottish Premiership title.

So getting on the scoresheet first against a tough Dons side would have been reason to celebrate for Celtic.

Or at least that seemed to be the case for everyone except Lustig.

After hitting the net, the Swede wheeled away towards the Celtic fans and appeared to gesture aggressively towards them.

But what was he trying to get across?

Was it him sharing his view that the title race was now over after scoring?

Was he hitting back at those who have said he’s finished after some poor form this season?

Or was he saying he’s finish at Celtic – with his contract set to expire in the summer and no update so far on where he’ll be playing next season?

Make your own mind up:

Should Celtic fans read into that?
