Lys Mousset is the latest name to be linked with a move to Celtic this summer, according to reports.
The Bournemouth striker is believed to be available after failing to get a regular run of games at the English Premier League club over recent seasons.
The Cherries also have a number of different striking options in their squad, including Callum Wilson and Dominic Solanke.
And it not appears he’ll leave the club this summer in an effort to get more football.
Here’s why Celtic fans should be very excited about Mousset potentially signing for them this summer:
He’s the Right FitEmbed from Getty Images
Celtic have had a lot of success over recent years bringing French-speaking players to the club. Moussa Dembele, Odsonne Edouard, Olivier Ntcham, Timo Weah, Eboue Kouassi and Vakoun Issa Bayo have all arrived in Glasgow in recent years speaking French – and while the jury is still out on some, the majority have made a positive impact. There’s obviously a culture at Celtic to help French-speaking players thrive and that should appeal to Mousset. On top of that, Mousset is a powerful striker who would fit into the Hoops team as a more direct alternative to Edouard.

That’s the perfect age for Celtic if they’re going to spend big money on getting Mousset. If it was to be a permanent deal then it means the Frenchman could play two or three seasons at Celtic and quite conceivably move on to another team for more money. Both would gain.
He Scores Goals Like This

Howe knows quality young talent and rates Mousset highly, despite not playing him so regularly over recent years. He said:
“He’s such a talented player. We really believe he has all the attributes he needs. He’s quick, strong, powerful, good technically and knows where the goal is.”

At 23, with good experience in the Premier League and a former France Under 21 international, Mousset has so much potential for a club like Celtic.
Celtic fans – would you take Mousset this summer?
