Alfredo Morelos‘ agent has commented on Celtic’s ‘weird’ statement about their pursuit of David Turnbull.
The Scottish champions last night revealed on Twitter that they had so far been unable to come to an agreement with the Motherwell midfielder’s agent days after the Fir Park club confirmed a record-breaking fee had been agreed between the clubs.
Celtic’s statement clearly laid the blame at the door of Turnbull’s agents.
But they’ve been supported by another prominent agent in Scottish football.
Jonne Lindblom, of World In Motion, represents Rangers striker Morelos and could be in a similar position later this summer if the Ibrox club decide to sell their star man.
He believes it’s a ‘weird’ move from Celtic:
Per The Daily Mail, Celtic have agreed a £2.8million fee for Turnbull – for a deal that would make him the most expensive player Motherwell have ever sold.
But will the deal go ahead now after Celtic’s update?
