The legendary Swedish striker cemented himself into Parkhead folklore during his playing days, where he banged in an incredible 242 goals over seven years and helped lead the Hoops to an historic domestic treble and the 2003 UEFA Cup Final.
And now it seems he could be on the verge of a stunning return to Glasgow as coach, alongside manager and former team-mate Neil Lennon.
According to the Sun, Lennon is considering bringing in Larsson to try and help guide Celtic to their ninth consecutive League title next season, with his compatriot and ex-Celt Johann Mjallby also in the frame.
The idea of a mythical figure like Larsson returning to Celtic will obviously have plenty of fans apprehensive and protective of his legacy, but it seems there’s plenty of supporters who’d be delighted to see the 47-year-old on the club’s payroll once again:
Do you think Celtic bringing Larsson back as a coach is a good idea?
