David Turnbull’s Agents Like Tweet About Their Influence on Celtic Move

David Turnbull’s agents have liked a tweet about their negotiations of the Motherwell midfielder’s potential move to Celtic.

The Scottish champions this evening tweeted an update on the deal just days after Motherwell themselves confirmed a fee had been agreed between the clubs for the player.

And Celtic revealed that although that fee had been agreed, they have so far been unable to agree a contract with Turnbull’s agent.

Importantly, they didn’t say it was a failure to agree with Turnbull, but laid the blame at the door of his agent.

Celtic tweeted:

That’s led to a strong reaction from supporters, with some critical of the club and others critical of the agent.

But what does Turnbull’s agency think of it?

According to, Turnbull is represented by Pro Legal Group and their Instagram page does confirm that – congratulating the midfielder for signing a new Motherwell contract in January:

They’ve not made an official statement on Celtic’s version of events – but liking this sarcastic tweet from a follower suggests that they are only working in the best interests of Turnbull:

If Turnbull doesn’t sign for Celtic then it will be either the club, Turnbull or his agents that are blamed by supporters.

But there’s still plenty of time in the transfer window to see if the Hoops manage to get their man.
