Fans React to Jose Mourinho’s ‘Interest’ in Taking Over at Newcastle

Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in taking over at Newcastle United this summer – and the news has prompted a pretty mixed reaction from supporters all over the country.

The self-proclaimed Special One has been out of work since his sacking by Manchester United back in December, and has spoken openly of his desire to return to work ahead of the 2019/20 season.

The ex-Real Madrid and Inter Milan boss has been linked with the likes of Juventus, Roma, Lyon and even Celtic, but still remains without a job.

However, the Daily Mirror are reporting that Mourinho would seriously consider taking the hot-seat at St. James’s Park if the Premier League side are taken over by the cash-rich Bin Zayed Group, and is prepared for talks to replace Rafa Benitez.

Now, it’s worth remembering that this rumoured takeover at Newcastle is probably still a long way off, but the rumours and reports have still managed to invoke a pretty strong response from fans of many different English clubs on social media this afternoon:

Do you think Newcastle should appoint Mourinho if and when the new owners take over the club?
