Christopher Jullien being linked with Celtic is due to his stock having ‘fallen a bit’ over the last year, according to a French Football Expert.
Andrew Gibney, who regularly writes about Ligue 1 and the French national team, was asked his opinion by a Celtic supporter following last night’s report by The Daily Record about the Hoops agreeing a fee with Toulouse for the defender.
Jullien is a 26-year-old centre back who has played for Auxerre, Freiburg and Dijon as well so far in his career.
And with a move to Celtic appearing on the way, Gibney has given his verdict on Jullien via Twitter:
Celtic appear to be on the hunt for a centre back after losing Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic this summer.
Kristoffer Ajer and Jozo Simunovic remain at the club and could be the centre half pairing to begin the season under Neil Lennon.
But some Celtic fans may hope that Jullien arrives soon and can make an impact in the Champions League qualifiers.
