Scotland were comfortably beaten by Belgium in Brussels earlier tonight but Kilmarnock‘s full-back Greg Taylor was one of the few bright spots for Steve Clarke‘s side.
Two goals either side of half-time from Romelu Lukaku put the Belgians in the driving seat in the Euro 2020 qualifier, with a stunning strike from Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne sealing a routine 3-0 victory for the country currently ranked No.1 in the FIFA rankings.
The Scots couldn’t muster up much in the way of their own clear-cut chances, and were without captain and arguably their best player in Liverpool’s Andy Robertson, who suffered a slight hamstring injury in the weekend’s win over Cyprus.
With Celtic’s Kieran Tierney also out injured after undergoing a double hernia operation last week, Killie’s Greg Taylor was handed the daunting task of playing at left-back against some of the best wingers in world football – and his solid display has won some serious praise from onlooking Scotland supporters:
Of course, once Tierney and Robertson are fit again, it’s difficult to see where Taylor gets a game, but what did you think of his display?
