James Tavernier Sends Classy Message to Lee Wallace After QPR Move

James Tavernier has sent a classy message to Lee Wallace after his move to QPR was confirmed.

The Rangers captain took over the armband from the former Scotland international following his controversial fallout with Graeme Murty, as reported by dailystar.co.uk, at the end of the 2017/18 season.

Wallace made just three appearances under Steven Gerrard in his final season at Rangers before his exit at the end of his contract was confirmed.

And that brought to an end an eight-year stay at Ibrox, with Wallace making 256 appearances and winning four trophies.

Mark Warburton has now made Wallace one of his first signings at QPR – joining the English Championship side on the same day former Rangers and Livingston goalie Liam Kelly signed on at Loftus Road.

That’s led to some heartfelt tributes from a number of his former teammates – and Tavernier is at the forefront of those:

That’s a classy message from Tavernier and shows just how highly rated Wallace was while at Rangers.
