Tam McManus Claims David Turnbull Needs Minor Knee Operation but Will ‘100%’ Still Sign For Celtic

Ex-Hibs and Dundee striker Tam McManus has claimed Motherwell midfielder David Turnbull will still ‘100 %’ be signing for Celtic, despite needing a minor knee operation.

Turnbull won the Football Writer’s Young Player of the Year Award in Scotland last season after breaking into the Well first-team and scoring an eye-catching 15 goals.

He looked set to join the Premiership champions after a £3 million fee was agreed between the clubs earlier this month, but as Hoops fans will be all too aware, the 19-year-old’s future has remained in the balance in recent weeks.

His transfer to Celtic Park looked to be dead before before revived last week, only for the deal to stall after his medical.

As we told you last night, it looked like Turnbull’s dream move would be put on ice once again, but BBC pundit McManus has offered some insight into the situation surrounding the midfielder:

So, perhaps this could offer worried Celtic supporters some relaxation, but what do you make of how the entire deal has been handled?
