Rangers Winger Glenn Middleton Set to Join Doncaster On Loan

Rangers winger Glenn Middleton is set to leave the Glasgow club for Doncaster Rovers in a season-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old midfielder has been earmarked as a potential Ibrox star for several seasons now, but struggled for first-team game time under Steven Gerrard last season, and now looks set to play in England’s League One next season.

Middleton actually made 28 appearances in the first-team in all competitions for Rangers last season, but managed just two Premiership outings after Christmas, and it seems Gerrard is keen for the teenager to go out and gain more experience.

Middleton followed Doncaster’s official Twitter account earlier today, and the Daily Record are claiming a deal has been agreed between both clubs for the Scotland youth international to join them on a 12-month deal.

Do you think Middleton moving to England’s League One is a positive move for all parties involved?
