Scottish football fans will get the opportunity to watch Andy Robertson and Liverpool play at Murrayfield in July.
The newly-crowned European champions have only just finished their season with the 2-0 win over Tottenham in Madrid on Saturday.
But pre-season preparations for the next campaign are already set – and the latest development is Jurgen Klopp’s men will play Napoli at the home of Scottish rugby.Embed from Getty Images
It was intended that the game would take place at Tottenham’s re-developed stadium with Anfield not able to host matches until August due to other commitments.
Liverpool decided against that, though, due to Saturday’s Champions League final against Spurs.
Now they have decided to use Murrayfield – meaning Scottish fans will get to see Klopp’s men, including Robertson, play one of Serie A’s best teams.Embed from Getty Images
Liverpool will be back for pre-season at the beginning of July and go up against Tranmere in their first match on July 11th.
Bradford City, Lyon and Schalke are the other teams Klopp’s side will face before the Premier League campaign kicks off in August.
