Steven Gerrard Confirms Joe Aribo is Having His Rangers Medical Today

Charlton midfielder Joe Aribo is undergoing his medical at Rangers today, according to the Ibrox club’s manager Steven Gerrard.

As we’ve told you previously, the 22-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to the Scottish Premiership side for several weeks now, and it looks like Gerrard is about to get his man.

The Gers first-team squad flew out to Portugal for a warm-weather pre-season training camp over the weekend without Aribo but Gerrard today confirmed to members of the media that the signing target was closing in on finalising his transfer to the Glasgow giants:

Due to cross border regulations, Rangers would only be required to pay a nominal development fee to Charlton, with the Express reporting the newly-promoted side are set to receive just £250,000 for one of their most promising players.

Aribo looks set to become Rangers’ seventh signing of the summer, but how do you think he’ll perform in Scotland?
