This assist shows exactly the kind of quality Luca Connell could bring to Celtic.
The highly-rated 18-year-old midfielder completed his move to the Scottish champions this morning, signing a four-year deal.
But what do we know about Connell?
He’s only played 12 first team games so far in his career, breaking through at Bolton at 17 last season.
Connell was part of the Bolton squad that had issues with unpaid wages due to financial difficulties at the University of Bolton Stadium.
And that’s what allowed Celtic to steal in to sign up the Ireland youth international.
What kind of player is he though? There’s not much out there in terms of footage of Connell considering he’s a holding midfield player involved more in the build up than the final third.
But this assist from Bolton’s clash with Bristol City last season shows the kind of quality Connell could bring to Celtic:
That is some cross!
Connell may not compete for a first team spot at Celtic straight away, but he’s obviously highly rated and a four-year deal suggests he’ll get time to break through at the Hoops.
