Graeme Shinnie has revealed his surprising choice for the best player he’s played against.
The Scotland international is with Steve Clarke’s squad this week ahead of their Euro 2020 qualifiers with Cyprus and Belgium.
And he sat down with former Aberdeen teammate Kenny McLean for a special Q&A after joining up with the squad.
Both players answered a load of questions about their new clubs, their time with the national team and what they’re looking forward to in the future.
While Shinnie also revealed who the best player is that he’s played against – and his answer was surprising considering the past between the two:
Shinnie and Brown clashed almost constantly during the last four years as Aberdeen provided the toughest test to Celtic’s domestic dominance.
The former Dons captain has actually criticised Brown publicly in the past and the Hoops skipper hasn’t held back in responses on and off the pitch.
But it seems Shinnie enjoyed going up against Brown, who he considers the best he’s faced in his career.
That may change with Shinnie heading south to Derby this summer to join Frank Lampard’s team though.
