Video: Mikael Lustig Posts What Looks Like a Farewell Clip to Celtic Supporters

Mikael Lustig has posted what appears to be a farewell message to the Celtic support, as the Swedish right-back looks set to move on from the Scottish champions.

The 32-year-old defender has written himself into the modern history of the Glasgow club by playing a crucial role in the three consecutive domestic trebles, and possesses a winner’s medal from all eight of the Hoops’ current consecutive Premiership triumphs.

However, Lustig is out of contract this summer and there has been no word forthcoming on a potential renewal, and earlier today the veteran posted a highlights reel of his time in Scottish football to his Instagram account, with team-mates commenting underneath to suggest that his exit is imminent:

Fellow Celt Jonny Hayes even went as far as responding with a crying face emoji, and it certainly looks like Lustig has played his final match in the club’s iconic green and white jersey.

Do you think getting rid of Lustig is a positive move for Celtic?
