Scott Arfield scored a superb double in a Canada bounce game against Trinidad and Tobago today.
The Rangers midfielder captains the Canadian national side and will lead them at the Gold Cup later this month.
Canada face Martinique, Mexico and Cuba in their group and will believe they have a right good chance of qualifying for the knockout phase.
And if they do, they’ll need Arfield on top form.
His country are busy preparing for their opening game against Martinique on Sunday and played Trinidad and Tobago in a closed doors bounce match earlier today.
Canada won 2-0 and it was thanks to some outstanding finishing from Arfield:
How good is that?
The Rangers midfielder had a brilliant first season at Ibrox, scoring 12 goals and assisting six in 38 games.
Now an impressive Gold Cup performance could help continue his great form and kick on into his second campaign with Steven Gerrard’s men.
