Video: Steve Clarke Speaks to Media Ahead of First Game in Charge of Scotland

Steve Clarke spoke to the media this afternoon ahead of his first game in charge of Scotland.

The Tartan Army manager was only appointed last month, but his first match has hurtled around, with Cyprus visiting Hampden tomorrow night.

It’s another big game for Scotland too as they look to bounce back from a disappointing opening game defeat to Kazakhstan in Euro 2020 qualifying.

That result ultimately led to Alex McLeish’s sacking and Clarke taking over.

And now the former Kilmarnock manager will be hoping to make the most of the positivity surrounding his appointment by getting Scotland playing better and winning games.

Ahead of tomorrow night’s match at Hampden, Clarke spoke to the media about a number of things, including his team selection, Andy Robertson, this week’s training and the support of the fans:

Scotland play Cyprus tomorrow before travelling to Belgium for their fourth game of the group on Tuesday night.

If Clarke can get through both games with four points and some good performances then it would pretty much be the perfect start to life as Scotland manager.
