The 5 Bargain Players For Your Ladbrokes Premiership Fantasy Football Team

It’s your turn to show you’ve got what it takes to rub shoulders with the top-flight’s biggest and best coaches with Ladbrokes’ brand-new Premiership-based Fantasy Football game.

Supporters from up and down the country now have the chance to build a virtual management dynasty of their own by selecting their best team from players playing in the top flight.

As any experienced Fantasy Football player will know, the key to success is balancing your strict budget wisely, with players in this version valued from between £6 million – £18 million, and with a transfer kitty of £180 million to fill a starting XI and five subs.

The likes of Morelos, Forrest, Tavernier and McGregor are all pretty obvious picks, but what about the not so obvious ones?

Here’s our rundown of five affordable players that should definitely be in your consideration:

Greg Taylor – £13.8M

The Kilmarnock left-back put in some scintillating displays for the Ayrshire side and played a key role in their highest top-flight finish since the 1960s.

Manager Steve Clarke might’ve departed by Taylor looks set to only get better and improve upon his four assists from last season.

And if new Killie boss Angelo Alessio can implement some stingy Italian steel at the heart of his new defence, Taylor could also be racking up the clean-sheet points too.

Craig Halkett – £12.8M

The rock at the heart of Livingston’s stingy defence last season has now joined Hearts, and looks set to continue his no-nonsense displays at Tynecastle.

Craig Levein’s side, at their best, are well known for being hard to beat, and we reckon Halkett should definitely be a consideration for you back-four.

Craig Bryson – £12.1M

The Aberdeen veteran looks set to play a vital role in Aberdeen’s midfield this season having joined after playing almost 300 games for Derby County, and will go a long way to filling the void left behind by ex-skipper Graeme Shinnie.

The box-to-box midfielder is known for his versatility, hard work and ability to chip in with the odd goal and assist.

At his price, he’s should be a no-brainer selection for the middle of the park.

Matty Kennedy – £12.1M

The St. Johnstone attacker chipped in with an impressive seven goals last season, and already has two in the Saints’ early season cup matches.

Moreover, Kennedy also chipped in with several assists and at the age of 24, and under the tutelage of Tommy Wright, looks likely to improve upon his numbers.

At £12.1 million, he could be the missing link for your midfield.

Joe Aribo – £12M

Now, Aribo might not seem like the most obvious shout for a bargain player, but he’s only priced at £12 million and will probably play in most games for Steven Gerrard’s side.

He already has a couple of goals in pre-season friendlies and the Europa League qualifiers and we reckon he could be about to take the Premiership by storm.

An absolute must-have for most teams.
