Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi has hit out at tabloid reports claiming he might be inclined to leave the North London club if Wilfried Zaha was signed.
Zaha is known to be a boyhood Gunners fan and Unai Emery’s side have been linked with the Crystal Palace forward, with the Metro reporting that a £40 million bid from the Emirates club has already been rejected.
Of course, Zaha plays in a similar position to Iwobi, and the Daily Mail have been reporting that the Nigeria international could be forced to look for a new club if a deal for Zaha eventually happens, but the man himself has shut down those suggestions on social media.
Iwobi was pretty emphatic in his response on Twitter:
Is Iwobi right to be confident enough in his own ability not to be threatened by Zaha?
And do you think the Arsenal hierarchy will be able to stump up the cash required to prise him away from Selhurst Park?
