Ex-Rangers Midfielder Liam Burt Starts as Trialist for Celtic Against Arbroath

Former Rangers midfielder Liam Burt continued to close in on a shock move to Celtic this afternoon by turning out for the Hoops in a friendly match against Arbroath.

As we told you last month, Burt appeared to reveal he was training with Neil Lennon’s side by posting a snap of the Celtic training complex to his instagram page, and he was given the nod to start today’s bounce game against the newly promoted Championship side.

Burt was released by Celtic’s bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers in May but it seems the Parkhead club are seriously considering offering the 20-year-old a deal, as he played alongside the likes of Karamoko Dembele and Armstrong Oko-Flex for Tommy McIntyre’s reserve side at Gayfield Park:

Do you think Burt has enough talent and attributes to win a contract and make an impact at Celtic?

Or should he try his luck with another Premiership side?
