Jurgen Klopp Starts Ryan Kent in Liverpool Friendly Against Tranmere

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has chosen to start Ryan Kent in tonight’s pre-season friendly against Tranmere Rovers.

The winger spent last season on-loan at Rangers and became an instant fans’ favourite at Ibrox, where he won the club’s Player of the Year Award.

Gers boss Steven Gerrard has spoken openly of his desire to bring Kent back to Glasgow for a second loan stint in the 2019/20 campaign, and the Scotsman have reported that both Leeds United and Middlesbrough are trying to snap up the 22-year-old.

However, it seems Reds manager Klopp is keen to get a good look at Kent before he sanctions any sort of exit, and tonight’s game provides the perfect opportunity.

According to the official Liverpool website, Kent will start the match at Prenton Park before being subbed at half-time, with Liverpool opting to field a different XI for each 45 minutes:

So, where do you think Kent will end up playing in the forthcoming season?
