The Scotland international saw the majority of last season written-off after he was forced to take a break from the game as he battled with depression, but he’s finally returned to the Hoops first-team.
Griffiths scored several goals during Celtic’s pre-season preparations and he came on as a second-half substitute during last week’s 2-1 home victory over FK Sarajevo in the Champions League first qualifying round to a rousing reception from the Parkhead crowd, and the man himself seems eternally grateful.
The 28-year-old spoke to the media this afternoon and expressed just how thankful he is for the support:
Griffiths is expected to be in action this Wednesday night when the Hoops resume their quest to reach the Champions League group stages against Estonian side Nomme Kalju, but what do you think of his return?
How many goals could he end up banging in this season?
