Mario Balotelli Paid a Naples Bar Owner €2000 to Drive a Moped Into The Sea

Mario Balotelli Paid a Naples Bar Owner €2000 to Drive a Moped Into The Sea

Mario Balotelli has further cemented his reputation as one of football’s most wacky characters by bribing a bar owner to drive his Vesper directly into the Gulf of Naples.

As fans of the Premier League will be all too aware, the Italy international is renowned for his bizarre off-field antics, but his most recent shenanigans might well top anything he’s been caught up in previously.

According to Football Italia, whilst enjoying his summer break in Naples, Balotelli challenged the unnamed businessman to drive his moped off the pier and into the sea, and promptly handed over €2000 to the man after he’d completed his task.

And you can view some of the incident for yourself after the ex-Man City and Liverpool forward posted footage to his official Instagram account on Saturday:

We’ve all heard the tales of Balotelli and his outlandish behaviour over the years, but does this stunt top everything that’s gone before?

What do you think?
