Neil Lennon Reveals He’s Had a ‘Nice’ Chat with Olivier Ntcham

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has revealed he has held clear the air talks with midfielder Olivier Ntcham, with the Northern Irishman describing his chat as ‘nice’.

The Frenchman was publicly chastised by Lennon last week after making comments about the quality of the Scottish Premiership, with the Hoops manager calling Ntcham’s remarks ‘untimely and inaccurate’.

After representing France in the Under-21 European championships last month, Ntcham was given a little longer off than his Celtic team-mates, but the 23-year-old was back at Lennoxtown for his first day of pre-season training yesterday.

And speaking to the media ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League qualifier against FK Sarajevo, Lennon explained via the Daily record: “He was disappointed with the way it came across, that wasn’t his intention.

“We have had a nice chat, a private chat, and it’s not an issue now. He is back in the group and training and getting ready for the new season.”

As we’ve told you previously, Ntcham has been linked with moves to both Porto and Marseille in the close season, and his future in Glasgow looked pretty bleak, but after Lennon’s comments today do you think he could still be in the Hoops come the start of the new season?
