Neil Lennon Teases Imminent New Signing After Sarajevo Victory

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has hinted that the Hoops are close to concluding a deal for an unnamed new player, following Wednesday night’s win over FK Sarajevo.

The Scottish champions progressed to the Champions League second qualifying round thanks to a 2-1 victory over the Bosnians in Glasgow, which secured a comfortable 5-2 aggregate scoreline.

Lennon seemed happy enough with his team’s efforts and the Northern Irishman seemed to hint that he and his recruitment staff have been working behind the scenes to secure the club’s third summer signing.

Speaking to BBC Radio Scotland after the full-time whistle, he was asked if he’d made any new signings during the game and mischievously replied: “I might have done.”

When pressed again by the reporter, he simply said: “Nothing confirmed yet.”

Celtic will now face Estonian side Nomme Kalju in the second qualifying round in their quest to make it back to the Champions League group stages.

Where do you think Lennon needs to strengthen most?
