As reported by the Sun, Hoops boss Lennon travelled to Rhyl last week to watch 18-year-old highly rated defender impress during the Serbian side’s win at Connah’s Quay Nomads in the Europa League second qualify round, first leg.
Despite his hulking figure and composure on the ball, Pavlovic is still just 18, but it seems he’s fully aware of the Scottish champions and their supposed interest.
Speaking ahead of Partizan’s return tie with the Nomads in Belgrade this week, via the Daily Record, the teenager explained: “I was flattered when I heard about Celtic watching me in Wales. But for me I have to only concentrate on my immediate future and that’s at Partizan.
“I’ve got to think I will be at this club for a long time. I can’t afford to get caught up in speculation before the next transfer window.
“My favourite clubs in Europe are Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United. My ambition is to play for one of those teams one day.
“But I’m only concentrating on the second leg against Connah’s Quay Nomads. I think it’s a good opportunity for our fans to see a few goals from us.”
Of course, Celtic have already strengthened their defensive reinforcements this summer, with the signings of Christopher Jullien, Boli Bolingoli and Hatem Abd Elhamed, but it looks like Pavlovic could be the next recruit.
Would you be keen on seeing Celtic bring in the promising defender?
