Rangers Fans Hoping Daniel Candeias Rumours Don’t Turn Out to be True

Daniel Candeias is being strongly linked with a move away from Rangers today but the bulk of the Ibrox club’s support seem to be keen on keeping the Portuguese winger.

Several reports emanating from Turkey, as per Football Scotland, claim Candeias is on the verge of signing for Turkish Super Lig side Gençlerbirliği, and the rumours have surfaced just a week after the 31-year-old was omitted from Rangers’ European squad for the Europa League first qualifying round.

Candeias was signed during Pedro Caixinha’s doomed spell as Gers boss but he’s gone on to prove himself as a useful player, as the reaction to today’s news on social media shows:

Steven Gerrard has recruited several wingers during the close season, with Jordan Jones, Jake Hastie and Greg Stewart all arriving, with long-term casualty Jamie Murphy almost back to full fitness.

So would losing Candeias be much to worry about?

What do you think?
