Report: Rangers Fans Get Good News On Swede Filip Helander

Rangers fans have got some good news on Filip Helander, according to a report.

The Ibrox club were linked with the Swedish defender yesterday by The Scottish Sun.

And that’s been followed up by STV’s Raman Bhardwaj today confirming that a reported £3.5million move from Bologna to Rangers is set to be completed today or tomorrow:

Rangers fans will be absolutely delighted by that news – and it’s another signal of intent from Steven Gerrard this summer.

He’s already added George Edmundson, Jake Hastie, Jordan Jones, Greg Stewart, Joe Aribo, Steven Davis and Sheyi Ojo already in this transfer window.

And with Helander arriving, it gives Gerrard four options at centre back – with Connor Goldson, Nikola Katic and Edmundson in his squad.

Rangers are next in competitive action against St Joseph’s in the second leg of their Europa League first round qualifier next week.

But Helander will have to wait until after that to make his first appearance – if he was to sign over the coming days.
