Ryan Gauld has found a new club after his release from Sporting Lisbon.
The Scottish midfielder has spent the last five years in Portugal after moving from Dundee United in a £3million deal.
Much was expected of his switch, but he was able to produce very little – making just five appearances for Sporting before spending more time out on loan.

And now he’s had to move on from Sporting, signing for Farense – who he spent six months on loan with during the first half of last season.
It’s a drop down a division for Gauld as Farense play in LigaPro – the second tier of Portuguese football.
Some may have expected Gauld to return to the UK after his brief stint with Hibs, but he’s decided to continue his Portuguese adventure in the hope of proving he’s good enough to play at the top level.
