Ryan Kent Named in Liverpool’s Squad for Pre-Season Tour of USA

Liverpool continue to run the rule over Ryan Kent after the winger was named in the Reds’ squad to travel to the USA today.

The newly-crowned European champions will continue their pre-season preparations across the pond, with friendlies arranged against Dortmund in Indiana, Sevilla in Boston and Sporting Lisbon in New York.

And it seems Jurgen Klopp is keen to see how Kent fares in the fixtures following his wildly successful spell on-loan with Steven Gerrard’s Rangers last season.

As we’ve told you previously, Gerrard has spoken openly of his desire to bring Kent back to Ibrox for the 2019/20 campaign, whilst the Express have reported that both Leeds and Aston Villa are interested in the 22-year-old.

But after starting Liverpool’s first two pre-season friendlies against Tranmere and Bradford, Klopp confirmed the attacker as a member of his 28-man travelling party via the club’s official website earlier this evening.

Liverpool won’t be back in the UK until the end of the month, with Rangers kicking-off their Premiership season against Kilmarnock on August 4.

But do you think Kent will be back in Glasgow for the forthcoming season?
