Wayne Rooney Raves About Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp

Wayne Rooney has been raving about Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

Despite becoming a legend over 13 years at Manchester United, the quality of the German boss isn’t lost on Rooney.

He actually faced Klopp both as a United and Everton player before leaving England for MLS football with DC United.

But Klopp made an impact on Rooney – and the former England captain has been speaking about it.

Per BT Sport, Rooney said:

Klopp is going into the new season off the back of winning the Champions League with Liverpool and is rightly taking plaudits for the job he’s done at Anfield.

Rooney might be positive about the German, but he’ll be hoping his old Manchester United side will be able to improve this season to get closer to them in all competitions.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men finished sixth last season – a whopping 31 points behind second placed Liverpool and 32 behind their other rivals Manchester City.
