The English Premier League is yet to get underway but the barbed comments between Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville have already started, with Carragher claiming Neville is ‘terrified’ of his former Manchester United team-mate Roy Keane.
As we’ve told you in the past, the ex-Liverpool and United pair love to trade jocular insults both on social media and as pundits on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, and it seems Carragher is keen to get the jostling started early this year.
Earlier today, Neville shared an image of a fictitious lunch-hall featuring footballers from different eras, and to his Twitter followers which table he’d prefer to sit at.
Well, it wasn’t long before Carra chimed in with a comment of his own, which has only served to get us even more excited for the start of the new Premier League season:
Ah, the banter, eh?
Liverpool get this season’s Premier League coverage underway on Friday night when they host Norwich City at Anfield and we certainly hope both Carragher and Neville are on duty.
