Plenty of Celtic Fans Seriously Miffed by Christopher Jullien’s Absence in Cluj Debacle

Celtic supporters have been seriously questioning the omission of Christopher Jullien during Tuesday night’s Champions League exit against Cluj.

The French centre-back arrived for a sizeable £7 million fee from Toulouse during the current transfer window, but the 26-year-old is yet to break into Neil Lennon’s starting XI.

He was handed a start in Saturday’s 5-2 win over Motherwell, and came on as a late substitute in last week’s 1-1 draw away from home against Cluj.

However, the towering defender was left as an unused substitute as the Hoops shipped a remarkable four goals at home to the Romanian champions, eventually losing 4-3 and 5-4 on aggregate.

And, quite rightly, there’s plenty of fans who are wondering why Jullien can’t get into the team against this class of opposition, with Champions League football on the line:

So, is there something more sinister behind Jullien’s continued spell on the sidelines, or is he just taking a little more time than usual to bed into Scottish football?
