FLASH BACK

There’s a lull in the air and people having social media digs in the vacuum but there are also fights that are happening and during the week on Wednesday the 14th of August in Sydney the super middleweight Australian title went to Cesar Mateo Tapia as he beat Renold Quinlan on points. It might be premature to talk of Quinlan coming to the twilight of his career but there is certainly evidence that after 17 fights with 5 defeats his star may not be shining at world level any more.

The non title fight, on the same bill, between Tim Tszyu and Dwight Ritchie ended with Tszyu taking what was described as a very impressive points win. At super welter there are quite a few names out there that could be enticed to a contest and it is very much – watch this space.
